How about that? With only three regular season games left, it appears as though my boys from Cham-Bana are going to ace the regular season schedule with no losses. I don't know about the other Orange and Blue nutsies, but I'm anxiously awaiting the real challenge NCAA Final Four style. I will refrain from tooting my favorite team's horn, but have you watched them? They are truly an amazing team, and the best in my history of following Illinois athletics. All we Illini fans can do now is pace the floor and wait for the madness to begin in March. I've paid my dues in losses via the last few football seasons so the retribution is rather nice especially during Big 10 play. Keep on keepin' on boys!

Hunter S. Thompson Dead?
I woke up this morning to some unfortunate news. One of the most influential journalists of all time, Hunter S. Thompson, has died at the age of 67. Now rather than dumping the heavily repeated facts about this outstanding character, I have decided to share my 1st HST experience (which was a mere 8-9 years ago). I was working at this crap job with a handful of other folks that shared similar interests. The release of Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas (the movie) was just around the corner when my peer introduced HST to me. I was handed a copy of the book, and away I read. I was blown away and amazed by the onslaught of insanity. Weeks later the words so freshly embedded in my brain were put in visual format compliments of Johnny Depp & Benicio Del Toro (and two tabs of LSD). And that, my friends, marked the beginning of my admiration and respect for one Hunter S. Thompson.
"Some may never live, but the crazy never die." (Hunter S. Thompson)
